Legitimate Home Businesses Require Proper Presentations
Legitimate home business opportunities do exist, there is living proof of it every day. I know many people who are doing it. And by doing it, I mean putting in the work, doing the required time and effort every business owner puts into his or her business. They present themselves and then follow with products or services they can offer someone.
This goes for any legitimate business. Talk to any local business owner in your town. They are out networking, marketing themselves with other businesses, within the community and across what is deemed in offline business as “my serviceable area”.
A home business is a legitimate as any local small business. It’s about connecting and engaging with people that build lasting relationships. The internet and technology have taking this form of marketing to whole new levels.
It’s a venue where the legitimate home business owners may have actually moved beyond the traditional brick-and-mortar business. And trust me, this people have worked hard to build a successful business.
For those now, who are not doing some sort of business presentations online, they are losing income. The facts are simple, if your in business, you must have a website these days. I am a member of a number of local business groups. All meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. There is always one business owner who is allowed the 10 minute presentation over the 60 second elevator pitch all the other business owners are allowed. PowerPoint presentations are a popular way of getting information across to large groups.
As home business owners know, you see them all over the internet. Where small local business has missed an important point, is getting those presentations online. I’m amazed at how many of the small local business owners who do not have a website. Or, they may have one but either that don’t like it or have no idea how to use it.
One of the business owners from one of my groups asked how to make his presentations larger. You can start by simply changing the slide ratio in your PowerPoint presentation. I currently use the 2003 version, here’s a short video on how to change the slide ratio.
The home based industry is becoming not just a legitimate home business, but increasing in number largely because of the technology available today. Make use of every opportunity in you business marketing efforts.
